HLB Group Chairman's Strategic Investments: A Month of Aggressive Buying
In a bold move, Jin Yang-gon, Chairman of HLB Group, has utilized his personal investment firm, Epoke, to acquire a significant stake in the group's key subsidiaries over the past month. With a focus on HLB Therapeutics (115450), Jin aims to secure additional shares ahead of the highly anticipated Phase 3 clinical trial results, scheduled for November.
According to HLB Group, Epoke, in which Jin holds a 99% stake, executed two separate transactions on October 15th and 20th, acquiring a total of 80,000 shares of HLB Therapeutics. Consequently, Epoke's holdings in HLB Therapeutics have increased from 172,272 to 252,272 shares.
The aggressive buying spree began on September 23rd and continued through October 1st, with Epoke purchasing 218,718 shares of HLB Innovation and 135,804 shares of HLB Therapeutics. This was followed by six consecutive purchases of HLB Genex shares, totaling 207,897, between October 6th and 14th.
Jin Yang-gon's Strategic Stake Acquisition
Chairman Jin has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the growth of HLB Group's key subsidiaries by actively purchasing stocks under his personal name. These include HLB Innovation, HLB Panagene, HLB Theralytics, HLB Genex, HLB Biostep, and HLB Pep. Recently, he has expanded his portfolio by acquiring stakes through personal entities.
Notably, the recently acquired additional stake in HLB Theralytics positions the company to announce top-line results from its Phase 3 (SEER-2) clinical trial in the U.S. for its neurotrophic keratitis (NK) treatment, 'RGN-259,' in November. This pivotal trial stage will confirm the potential for RGN-259's drug development, and the outcome will significantly impact future approval and commercialization timelines.
An HLB Group spokesperson commented, "Chairman Jin's confidence in the growth potential and future value of our key subsidiaries has driven his consistent stock acquisitions through personal and corporate entities. Going forward, he will continue to support the long-term growth of our subsidiaries, uphold responsible management practices, and enhance shareholder value."
