Daewoong Pharmaceutical (069620) held a global academic event in Bali, Indonesia to share global clinical experience with the botulinum toxin drug 'Nabota' and expand academic cooperation with medical teams in major countries. Through an in-depth course that increased expertise compared to existing medical staff training programs, the treatment experience of each country was compared and future directions for cooperation were discussed.

Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced that it held the 'NMC EXCLUSIVE Global KOL Summit Bali 2026' in Bali, Indonesia from October 29th to 31st. The event was attended by 35 key medical staff (KOLs) from 11 countries, including Korea, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America.

This event was prepared as a higher level educational program of 'NABOTA Master Class (NMC)' operated by Daewoong Pharmaceutical. While the existing NMC focused on strengthening the surgical capabilities of global medical staff and academic exchanges, NMC EXCLUSIVE differentiated itself by providing in-depth education and discussions for medical staff with abundant clinical experience and expertise.

The event was held for three days under the theme of 'Nabota's yesterday and today, and the tomorrow we will create together (SHAPED-SHAPING-WHAT'S NEXT).' Attendees shared country-specific surgical experiences and clinical approaches, and discussed ways to utilize Nabota and academic cooperation.

On the first day, the 'Global Treatment Consensus & Advisory Session' was held. Medical staff from major countries such as Korea, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil presented cases of Nabota treatment applied to various areas, including the forehead, forehead, wrinkles around the eyes, masseter muscle, lower face, neck, and body contouring.

The following roundtable compared clinical cases and surgical approaches by country. Based on their actual medical experience, attendees discussed considerations and application methods for each treatment area and sought treatment directions that could be commonly referred to.

On the second day, in-depth training centered on clinical cases was conducted based on the 'R.E.A.L. (Reference·Evaluate·Apply·Learn)' guidelines.

Brazil's Alexander Nassif explained facial anatomical factors that should be considered in botulinum toxin treatment planning and clinical decision-making.

Director Anesia Tania from Indonesia shared her experience applying NABOLIFT and NABOGLOW, unique treatment methods using Nabota, to the face and neck.

Korea's Director Chun-sik Yoon introduced botulinum toxin treatment techniques and clinical experience applied to special areas, and Taiwan's Director Hsin-Hung Chen presented a case of using botulinum toxin to treat migraine.

The last session, 'NABOTA Global Vision & Future KOL Collaboration', summarized what was discussed at the event and reviewed the development direction of major treatment areas and plans for academic cooperation between countries.

During the event, a program was also prepared to visit BWork Uluwatu, Daewoong Group's complex co-working space, and NULOOK Clinic, a K-medical aesthetic clinic. In addition to the academic sessions, attendees continued to interact by touring local facilities.

He said he hopes to continue to develop surgical methods through such academic exchanges.

Junsu Yoon, head of Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Nabota Business Division, evaluated this event as an opportunity to share in-depth clinical knowledge with key global medical staff. Daewoong Pharmaceutical plans to continue to expand professional education programs and strengthen cooperative relationships with global medical staff.

Meanwhile, according to Daewoong Pharmaceutical, Nabota has been expanding sales in the global market since its approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2019. The company explained that it recorded an average annual sales growth rate of 57%, and as of June 2026, its cumulative sales exceeded 1 trillion won.
